My partner and I are proud to call Upton Parish home, where we live with our two young children. This personal connection to the community drives my commitment to addressing the issues and concerns that matter most to local families.
In addition to serving on the Parish Council, I am a Cub Leader for a local Scout Group. This rewarding role allows me to mentor young people, helping them develop essential life skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
I also serve as a Resident Director for a local development, where I represent my neighbors in ensuring costs are managed effectively and contractors deliver services that meet the community’s needs.
I am especially passionate about enhancing play opportunities for children and young people. By improving access to safe, engaging, and inclusive play equipment, I hope to create spaces where they can thrive and grow. As an advocate for the environment, I lead tree planting initiatives and community litter picks, fostering a sense of stewardship for our natural surroundings and ensuring a greener future for the next generation.
Through my various roles and personal commitments, I strive to make Upton a cleaner, greener, and more connected community for everyone.

I am pleased to have been co-opted back onto Upton Parish Council as I believe I have the skills and experience to make a good contribution to the work of the Parish. I was an elected member of Northampton Borough Council for Upton during the years 2011 – 2021. I was also on the Upton Parish Council during this time. In my role as local Borough Councillor, I held senior roles as Cabinet Member for Finance and subsequently Cabinet Member for Environment. I served as a member of the Planning Committee and also a committee member for the Cemeteries Forum.
I was also an elected member of Duston Parish Council for approximately 8 years.
I am now retired, but throughout my career I was mostly employed in the building industry for 30 years. My role prior to retirement was Group Facilities Manager for Travis Perkins.

I am married and live in Marina Gardens. My wife and I moved to Upton Parish in 2007. I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in 2009 and later elected as a councillor. I have served the residents of St Crispin estate since then. I am keen to ensure that planning matters in Upton Parish are to the benefit of residents and that the Unitary Authority are accountable.
My background started in retail. I then served for 30 years in the Thames Valley Police, for the greater part as a beat officer in Wokingham. My wife and I then moved to Wiltshire and were landlords of a village hostelry. We later became self-employed as relief licensees covering locations across the country. We are now retired.

I was elected to the Parish Council in 2025 and it is an honour to represent the residents here. My wife and I love living in Upton and being part of Grace Church Upton which meets in Upton Meadows Primary School on Sunday mornings at 10:15 (all welcome to join us!).
I think Upton has loads of things going for it but we can be part of making it better. As part of the Parish Council I hope to be part of building community in the area as well as trying to help with issues we face like the management companies and littering among others.

My family and I have lived in Northampton for the last 30 years, and moved to Upton in 2020.
We are very lucky to live close to the Upton Country Park and the Elgar Centre, as there is always something going on, including the lovely Café run by the Lewis Foundation. Clearly there are pressures from car parking, maintenance of shared areas and our green spaces, which need out support and improvement.
I was co-opted to the Council in 2024. I stood as a candidate for the parish council elections on 1st May 2025 and was elected. As a Councillor I would like to facilitate and encourage all of my fellow residents to take part in the Council’s efforts. I’m always happy to discuss concerns and find ways forward.

I moved to Upton from Thame in South Oxfordshire in October 2022. I was disappointed and a bit shocked at the amount of litter and fly-tipping in the area, so I’m very active in trying to reduce this blight that spoils people’s enjoyment of their environment and also presents a significant threat to wildlife.
I’m a committee member of Northants Litter Wombles so you may have seen me out and about in my purple hi-viz and purple litter bags!
