A group of 15 Parish Councillors and volunteers from the local community met on a stormy Sunday morning in late November. Undeterred by the inclement weather, the group of adults and children planted species for hedging, copses, wild harvests and year-round colour. Varieties such as dog rose, hawthorn, hazel, crab apple and dogwood will make a natural screen and improve the amenity as well as providing a haven for wildlife.
The tree packs were provided Free of Charge to Upton Parish Council by The Woodland Trust. Approximately 300 saplings were planted. Thanks go to Councillor Mike Caddy and his helpers, for making this happen.
