About the Audit
The annual audit process is a formal, external assessment of the Council’s governance procedures, internal controls and financial position for the year. The audit process commences after the end of the financial year, which is 31st March.
The audit is a two-step process. The first step is the Internal Audit and takes place between March and June. Upton Parish Council have appointed NCALC IAS as their Internal Auditor. The second step is the External Audit, which is performed by PKF Littlejohn and takes place annually between June and September. The conclusion of audit is published on the Parish Council website from September onwards.
