Your Parish Cricket Club – Growing the Game for Everyone
We are proud to be entering an exciting new chapter, with the continued growth of junior cricket and the launch of our new Women’s and Girls’ section.
The Cricket Club, located in St Crispin’s, next to the retirement village, is about far more than just the game itself. It’s about building confidence, learning teamwork, staying active, and being part of a friendly and supportive community. We are delighted to now be offering structured opportunities for women and girls of all ages and abilities to get involved — whether completely new to cricket or returning to the sport. Sessions are played using softball cricket, making them accessible, sociable, and great fun.
Alongside this, our Mini and Junior section for boys and girls continue to thrive. These sessions focus on fun, skill development, and enjoyment in a safe and encouraging environment. Qualified coaches and dedicated volunteers ensure young players can learn at their own pace while making friends and developing a lifelong love of sport. Junior sessions take place on Fridays from 5:30pm, with a BBQ and bar available for refreshments, making it a relaxed and enjoyable evening for the whole family.
The club is committed to being inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to everyone in the parish and surrounding area. We warmly encourage families, young people, and adults to come along, have a go, and see what the club has to offer.
New players are always welcome, and no previous experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a try.
