West Northamptonshire Council’s highways contractor Kier have informed us of carriageway repairs on Walter Tull Way:
What’s Happening?
Carriageway repairs – Utilising our Roadmender machine, we will be carrying out some carriageway patch repairs on Walter Tull Way. Please note that this is not a resurfacing scheme.
Where: Walter Tull Way, Northampton
When: Monday 1st December – Friday 5th December
Times: Working hours 08:00-14:30 (road will be accessible as normal outside of these hours)
Traffic Management: Road Closure
Residents / Businesses: We will be closing the road in sections between the junctions and moving up when one section has been completed. There will still be access to the businesses, but you may have to follow the diversion route to get round as there will be no through route allowed
Emergency Vehicles: We will maintain access for emergency vehicles.
Pedestrians and Cyclists: Please be assured that we aim to maintain access for residents/businesses. There may be short periods where vehicles will be prohibited due to the repair process. During these times vehicle access will be restricted. Please allow extra time for your journeys and consult with the Traffic Management on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed in the area prior to the works starting. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and co-operation.
Public Transport: There will be no access for public transport.
