Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Planting Day in partnership with The Land Trust on Sunday, 30th November 2025. Together, we filled four shrub beds with an attractive variety of perennials and planted daffodils along with other small bulbs in the suds area on Ashby Wood Drive.
Councillors Mark Watson, Matthew Kinton, Michael Warnes, and Pauline Goodley were joined by local residents, friends and family for a lovely afternoon planting in the winter sunshine. We are grateful to Richard from The Land Trust for providing all the plants, bulbs, and soil, as well as for arriving early to give us a head start with the planting. Well done everyone for making a great impact on our local area – looking forward to seeing the daffodils come up in Spring!
