Family Fun Day
with UMRA, The Lewis Foundation and Upton Parish Council
We had a great time at our Summer Event on Saturday 1st August at The Elgar Centre and Upton Country Park. We had an array of stallholders – sweets, jewellery, art and soft toys – and a mouth-watering choice of refreshments: hog roast, crepes and lemonade, wood fired pizza, ice cream van, jacket potatoes and The Elgar Centre café.
Reggae Ray sang live reggae, ska and Motown in the sunshine, followed by a DJ. UMRA laid on a bouncy castle and slide and the all-important First Aiders, just in case!
Upton Parish Council provided children’s play activities from MK Play all FREE of charge including Zorb balls, inflatable obstacle course, giant lego, giant Connect 4, den building, jewellery making and much more.
Then on for a photo op with our friendly neighbourhood policing team – try on the police kit and see what it’s like to sit in the custody van!
A massive thank you to our amazing group of volunteers from UMRA, The Lewis Foundation and Upton Parish Council, to all of our lovely stall holders and food vendors and most importantly to the residents of Upton who came out to make this summer event a great day out.
